How does it work?
Enrol online - this is a secure site and accepts Mastercard or Visa.
Make sure you provide a valid email address for contact purposes.
Once your enrolment has been processed you will:
- Receive a confirmation email of your payment and enrolment
- Be issued with a password within 48 hours sent to the email you provided. This will provide 24 hour a day access to the e-learning website. This will be sent to the email address you have provided.
- Be allocated a trainer/assessor to work with you through the course
The first time you enter the site:
- You will be asked to complete an information sheet about your skills and experience. This can be time consuming but it serves a number of purposes - it provides the tutor with background information necessary for them to support you through the course and identifies prior skills and knowledge that may make you eligible for recognition of existing skills and knowledge.
- Carefully read and acknowledge an outline of the performance criteria involved in the unit you are studying.
- Take the time to look around the site and familiarise yourself with the resources and screens available
Note: Courses are run by making available only the notes and assignments relating to your current module. When your module assignments have been completed and returned, material for the following module is available immediately. This allows you to work at your own pace - and you can even revisit notes issued in earlier modules at any time.
Getting help is simple. If you need help:
- With coursework - you can contact your trainer/assessor by either email or phone contacts provided in your welcome email.
- Or Lodge a query on the chat forum
- For technical support - you can email the help desk for assistance.
- To find out more about e-learning options contact Kerrie on +61 (02) 4226 1622 or training@weaillawarra.com.au
Can't get your assignment in on time? If a circumstance arises that you feel may delay you meeting your deadlines please contact your tutor /assessor to discuss with them whether an extension for completion date can be granted.
Do I have to study a whole qualification?
No - the choice is yours! Choose to study the individual units of competency, groups of units of competency or whole qualifications that suit your needs.
There are no exams. Instead you will complete a series of assignments, assessment tasks and or build a portfolio of evidence that together will allow your assessor to evaluate your competence against the required skills and knowledge at the level you are studying.
